Having more than one tool

Hello all, now i am having two tool T1 and T2 and as u know the machine doesnt switch tools itself. so my question is now i am have the main tool orientation is on setup, and there is different tool orientation per tool path. so if i post process all toolpathes of T1 and then all toothpathes of T2 will they have the same offset since the setup itself included the same offset or will they change according to the first tool path from each tool? i need to know that so that i can adjust the machine and give it all the offsets it needs. thanks

Setting your work offsets with a certain tool (say, tool 1) and then using another measured tool during a program (say, tool 2) will not require any additional setup. When any tool is called up in the program, it also calls for that tool’s TLO (the value that is found during the tool measurement process) and then uses that to adjust the tool path and align everything properly.

Just make sure of two things when setting up the machine to run a program with multiple tools:

  1. All tools that will be used in the program have been measured and have a TLO value before they get used. With V2-50 machines this will happen during the program automatically so you only need to “manually” measure the first tool so that you can use it for setting work offsets (if you are using the touch-off method).

  2. The tool used to define the work offsets (do touch-offs) is active when the Z axis work offset is set.

I hope this helps!

Thanks alot, can u send me your email maybe after i program it through fusion u check and tell me if it is okay or not cause i need someone who has more experience than me to check it and tell me if it is okay or not… thanks

And i got the legacy software not the newer one which means and i dont know which post processor can i use and if the machine in that case 5 axis or 3+2
