Tubing question & Pump Alternatives

Hi folks!

So excited about the delivery of my machine.

One short question I have is are there any 1/4" tubes included to supply to the air filter?

My main question is about pump compatibility. I’ve read that the Gast DOA-P707-FB is recommended because it is quiet, but the 86 and 87R series can get significantly quieter. Grainger sells this pump and add-on kit.

Would that pump work with the v2 Penta machines?

Many thanks!

Hi everyone. It looks like the pump works perfectly with the Penta, I get a solid 0.18 MPa in the software, and the noise is barely noticeable once set on a damping mat behind a closed door.

I did need to buy 1/4 in ID. polyethylene tubing, and an NPT adapter fitting to hook it up the pump. You need those two items even with the suggested pump. There is a little vinyl tube supplied by Penta but it’s for the water drain on the air filter.

Note that the quiet 86R compressor doesn’t ship pre-wired for a specific voltage, so you do need to hook its pre-stripped wires up to a plug, and connect the ground screw. GAST recommends the WAGO lever nuts, which are a joy to work with, so all in all, thumbs up!
