Hello Penta Team, hello dear Pocket NC Forum members in the community,

I would like to briefly introduce myself:

My name is Christian and I come from Germany and live in Regensburg in the Upper Palatinate.

I am 33 years old and am a hobbyist and build models of machine tools on a scale of 1:18. I only build the models for my own needs and I don’t sell any models. I don’t make any money from this.

I bought a used Pocket NC V2-10 in Berlin (Neukölln) last week.

It has always been my wish to buy a Pocket NC, luckily I found a used NC Pocket on the internet and bought it.

The machine number is 1355 and the year of manufacture of the machine is September 2018.

I bought the Pocket NC machine with machine housing (bought used)

I’m not familiar with the Pocket NC yet. I have no experience with the machine.

I haven’t commissioned the machine yet.

I have already established a connection with Computer Pocket NC machine on the network.

There is a connection (the Pocket NC machine is in the network)

I have a question:

Does the Pocket NC need to be maintained, does the ball screw X, Y and Z axes need to be greased, do oils need to be refilled, do certain components need to be lubricated?

It would be very nice if you would help me.

Hi Christian,

Congrats on your new machine! The Pocket NC does not require any regular maintenance other than regular, thorough cleaning. We recommend using a good vacuum to remove chips and debris (not compressed air) and IPA to wipe down the rest of the machine’s components.
