While the Pocket NC is running, it disconnects from my laptop and continues cutting the part. This is quite dangerous as I have no control over the machine.

Sorry to hear you’re having issues with your connection to the Pocket NC. What version of Kinetic Control are you using?
As for safety, you always have the ability to push the Cycle/Start/Feed Hold button to pause your program, or the E-Stop button to cut power to the motors. These buttons are located on the front of the machine.
It says software version 5.5.3 (found this in Config>Server>Software)
Have you tried connecting with other computers/devices? What are the specs on your laptop?
