Work Offset Issue

Hello I am trying to figure out how to correctly set up my work offsets. My origin is the top left stock box point, I have zeroed my x, y, and z axis but it still gives me a "Linear move on line 1X’s would exceed joint X’s positive limit. I have attached gcode, my physical setup, fusion 360 setup, and pentas UI with my offsets that I thought i would use.

Thank you,
William Garrard

I haven’t taken a look at your Fusion file, but in the simulator, when I enter your work offsets, it looks like your origin is a different point than the top left:

I would recommend updating Kinetic Control as newer versions include a simulator tab that will automatically sync your work and tool offsets to show you what the machine is expected to do: https://pentamachine.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KCUR/pages/1738571781/Kinetic+Control+Software+Update+Tutorial

Thank you John, I will also say if I leave all of my work offsets at zero it seems to work fine with no errors in the simulator. I will update my kinetic control when I get home after work today and see what happens.

It sounds like your Setup in Fusion isn’t set up the way you described it. Updating won’t fix the issue, but may help diagnose these kinds of issues in the future.

Its interesting because I made sure my origin is in the top left corner in fusion. I moved X, Y, and Z to actual zero, i then zeroed X,Y, Z in the G54 column, and also set my tool length. I will take another look when I get home.

It seems like my offsets put my stock way off center in the simulator. When in reality, my stock is just a bit off center due to it being on the vise.

I manually added a command to X0 Y0 Z0. It looks like your Setup is at the center bottom of your stock.
